Maddux returns to the Dodgers

Greg Maddux has been traded back to the Los Angeles Dodgers to help them down the stretch for the playoffs. Ironically, this is the second time Maddux has been traded to the Dodgers in the past few years, and both times being during mid-season. In exchange for giving up Maddux, the Padres received two minor leaguers.
Brad Penny reactivated from DL

Brad Penny, of the Los Angeles Dodgers was activated from the 15-day DL on Friday. He started against the Giants, pitched 5 innings and got the win for the Dodgers.
